INDUSTRIAL GUILLOTINE DOOR
Industrial Guillotine Door
The Industrial Guillotine Door operates with vertically ascending leaves driven by counterweights, nesting one behind the other. It is the optimal solution for enclosing large openings. The Industrial Guillotine Door can consist of one or several leaves and requires free space above the opening to accommodate the leaves. All doors include a safety system that prevents the leaves from falling in the event of cable breakage.
Features:
- Functionality due to its easy handling and smooth operation
- Robustness from its compact structure
- Durability
- Convenience as it can be automated to adapt to various uses
- Concealed passage space hidden behind the walls
- Possibility to lift the upper leaf for ventilation in the facility

Technical Data Sheet
VERTICAL GUILLOTINE DOOR
Vertical guillotine door with lateral guides and a steel tubular structure, controlled by counterweights. Its operation is based on rigid leaves that rise vertically, guided by rollers sliding along lateral guides, controlled at all times by the action of counterweights through a system of pulleys and cables, nesting one behind the other.
NOTE: ALL LEAVES HAVE A PARACHUTE SYSTEM PATENTED BY ROPER
Blade
The fence made of a cold-rolled tube frame and braced on the inside with tubular reinforcements to prevent buckling and increase wind resistance.
The tubes used to manufacture this type of doors are the following:
STRIPPED (DECAPADOS) Tubes of 60×30, 80×40, or 100×40 of quality E-220 according to UNE EN 10305-5 standard.
GALVANIZED (GALVANIZADOS) Tubes of 60×30, 80×40, or 100×40 of quality E-220 + Z-275-NAC according to UNE EN 10305-5 standard.
Closing of the Leaf The Industrial Guillotine Door is manufactured with two different leaf enclosures:
- Sheet: The sheets are made of pre-lacquered steel strip, DX51 according to EN-10142 standard, with an average thickness of 0.6 mm without a peelable film, ribbed in 200 mm modules, placed in a vertical or horizontal position, assembled under compression welded to the frame of the sheet.
- Sandwich Panel: 40 mm thick panel. It is manufactured with pre-lacquered sheet on galvanized steel, according to the EN-10142 standard. The interior of the panel is composed of expanded polyurethane with an average density of 40 kg/m³, free of CFC and HCFC. Two panel formats are used, one with a height of 500 mm and another with 610 mm.
Guides
The guides are formed by hot-rolled steel UPN profiles of 60 x 30, 80 x 45, or 100 x 50 of quality S 275 JR + M according to the EN 10025-2/2004 standard.
Locking System
Closure is achieved through lateral rods of Ø 12 or Ø 18.
Pulleys
Pulleys are made of 1.2, 2, or 4 mm thick steel sheet, riveted and with a self-lubricating bearing embedded inside. For large doors, turned iron pulleys are used.
Counterweights
The counterweights are made of small bars. Their dimensions depend on the size of the door and the space available to accommodate them.
Rollers
Rollers are made of polyamide or steel depending on the dimensions or use of the door.
Cables
Cables can have a thickness of 4, 5, 6, or 7 mm, depending on the weight of the door. They consist of 6x19s1 and comply with the DIN 3060 standard.
The quality of this door is backed by tests carried out in accredited laboratories, following the EN 13241-1 product standard, and it is marked for both manual and automatic versions.
The components used in the door and its finish will depend on the door’s dimensions, its variant, and the available space in the construction. Possible changes may also depend on improvements in production processes.
