Technical Data Sheet
The ROPER Up and Over Garage Door is composed of a leaf that moves vertically, thanks to the sliding of the rollers inside the lateral guides. Its operation is based on a torsion spring hidden behind the lintel, which provides the necessary force to the side arms to lift the leaf.
Leaf: The frame is made of a profiled sheet frame in the form of a rectangular tube and braced on the inside with profiled sheet reinforcements in the form of “Z” to prevent buckling and increase wind resistance. Both the frame and the reinforcements are made of 0.8 mm thick sheet metal and are of quality FEP02G MAZ100.
Guides: The vertical side guides of this type of door are made of profiled sheet metal with a thickness of 2 mm, of quality FEP02G MAZ275. The connection between the lintel and the guides to form the door structure is made using steel rivets.
Transmission: It consists of a longitudinal axle, made of round tube 20×2 and of quality E-220+ Z-275-NAC, seated on bearings, on which the torsion spring is placed, made of steel DIN-17223 QUALITY “B” with heat treatment at 250°C, which has two drums fitted at the ends and on which the pivot arms are attached. These arms are made of steel tube Ø 18×1.5 E-220+ Z-275-NAC. This assembly is responsible for the movement of the door. The connection between the movement of the spring and the leaf is made using two galvanized steel cables, 6×7+1, 2 mm in diameter, and the two pivot arms.
Closing System: Lock with a striking plate and key with an interior handle, made of highly resistant polyamide, which acts on two locking rods. These rods are formed by two 10 mm tubes that lock into the lintel. Rollers: Rollers made of acetate resin.
Leaf Enclosure: The ROPER Standard Door is made with corrugated sheet metal in 200 mm wide modules installed vertically and assembled under compression. 0.5 mm thick sheet metal of quality FEP02G MAZ100 is used.
The quality of this door is certified by tests conducted in accredited laboratories, in accordance with the product standard EN 13241-1, and it carries the CE marking for both manual and automatic versions. The choice of door components and its finish depends on the door’s dimensions, its variant, and the site’s conditions. It may also be subject to changes aimed at improving the production processes.
