Vertical ROPER Tilting Industrial Door with side guides and tubular steel structure, controlled by counterweights.
Its operation is based on two articulated leaves that, when opened, fold vertically, attached to the guide by a head and guided by rollers that slide along the side guides, controlled at all times by counterweights through a system of pulleys and cables. . These counterweights can be housed in drawers in the area of the opening or hidden behind the buttresses covered by linings.
Blade
The fence made of a cold-rolled tube frame and braced on the inside with tubular reinforcements to prevent buckling and increase wind resistance.
The tubes used to manufacture this type of doors are the following:
- DECAPADOS Tubos de 60×30, 80×40 ó 100×40 de calidad E-220 según norma UNE EN 10305-5.
- GALVANIZADOS Tubos de 60×30, 80×40 ó 100×40 de calidad E-220 + Z-275-NAC según norma UNE EN 10305-5.
Closing of the leaf
The ROPER Industrial Folding Door is manufactured with three different types of leaf enclosures:
- Sheet Metal: The sheets are made of pre-painted steel strip, DX51 according to standard EN-10142, with a medium thickness of 0.6 mm without peelable film. The sheets are profiled in 200 mm modules, placed vertically or horizontally, and compression-welded to the leaf frame.
- Sandwich Panel: Roper Panel with a thickness of 40 mm. It is manufactured using pre-painted sheet metal on galvanized steel, according to standard EN-10142. The interior of the panel consists of expanded polyurethane with an average density of 40 kg/m³, free of CFC and HCFC. Guides
The guides are formed by hot-rolled steel UPN of 60 x 30, 80 x 45, or 100 x 50, quality S 275 JR + M according to standard EN 10025-2/2004.
Hinges
Depending on the dimensions of the door, two different types of hinges are used:
- For small doors, the hinges consist of three modules of pickled sheet metal with a thickness of 2.5 mm, stamped in a curl shape with a calibrated rod of Ø 8.
- For large doors, the hinges consist of four modules of pickled sheet metal with a thickness of 5 mm, stamped in a curl shape with a calibrated rod of Ø 12.
Locking System
The closure is achieved through lateral bolts or an external lock that acts on the lateral bolts. The bolts can be Ø 12 or Ø 18.
Heads
Depending on the dimensions of the door, two types of heads are used:
- For small doors, they are formed by a 6 mm thick steel rim and a Ø 16 bolt.
- For large doors, they are formed by an 8 mm thick steel rim and a Ø 25 bolt.
Counterweights
The counterweights are made of barite. Their dimensions depend on the size of the door and the space to accommodate them.
Pulleys
Pulleys are formed from 1.2, 2, or 4 mm thick steel sheet, riveted, and with self-lubricating bearings embedded inside. For large doors, turned iron pulleys are used.
Rollers
Rollers are made of polyamide or steel, depending on the dimensions or use of the door.
Cables
Cables can have a thickness of 4, 5, 6, or 7 mm, depending on the weight of the door. They are composed of 6x19s1 and comply with DIN 3060.
The quality of this door is backed by tests carried out in accredited laboratories, following the product standard EN 13241-1, and is marked for both the manual and automatic versions.
